Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Route My Money. By creating an account or using the app in any way, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Route My Money ("we", "us", or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the Route My Money website, mobile app, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes with at least 30 days' notice via email (if you have an account). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Description of Service

Route My Money is a debt payoff calculator and progress-tracking tool. It helps you:

  • Enter your debts (balances, interest rates, minimum payments)
  • Calculate your estimated debt-free date using payoff strategies like avalanche and snowball
  • Track your progress over time
  • Set extra payment goals and see how they accelerate your payoff timeline

Route My Money is not a licensed financial advisor. The calculations and projections provided by the Service are for informational and planning purposes only. They are based entirely on the data you enter and do not account for future changes in interest rates, income, or life circumstances. Nothing in the Service constitutes personalized financial, legal, investment, or tax advice.

Your Account and Responsibilities

To use the full Service, you'll need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information: The accuracy of your debt-free date calculation depends entirely on the accuracy of the data you enter. Please enter balances, rates, and payments as accurately as possible.
  • Keep your credentials secure: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. Do not share your login credentials with anyone. Notify us immediately at support@routemymoney.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • Use the Service lawfully: You agree not to use the Service for any illegal purpose, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, or to interfere with the Service's normal operation.
  • One account per person: Accounts are for individual use. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions and Billing

Route My Money offers the following plans:

  • Free tier: Available to all users. Includes core debt tracking and calculation features at no cost.
  • Route My Money Pro: $6.99 per month. Includes advanced features such as additional payoff strategies, detailed analytics, and priority support.

Billing

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly on the date you first subscribe.
  • Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your full payment card details.

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from within the app settings or by contacting us at support@routemymoney.com.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until that date.

Refunds

  • We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods that have already been charged.
  • If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at support@routemymoney.com within 14 days and we will review your case.

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

Intellectual Property

Our property: Route My Money owns all rights to the Service, including the website, mobile app, software, design, branding, and content we create. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

Your data: You own the data you enter into the Service. We do not claim any ownership over your debt data, payment history, or any other personal financial information you provide. You grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

By using the Service, you do not acquire any intellectual property rights in Route My Money or its content beyond the limited right to use the Service as described in these Terms.

Disclaimers

No guarantee of financial outcomes. Route My Money provides calculations based on data you enter. We make no guarantee that following any payoff plan or projection generated by the Service will result in any specific financial outcome. Actual results will depend on many factors outside our control, including your income, expenses, lender terms, and economic conditions.

Not a substitute for professional advice. The Service is not a substitute for advice from a licensed financial advisor, credit counselor, or attorney. If you are facing serious debt hardship, we encourage you to seek qualified professional guidance.

Service availability. We aim to keep Route My Money running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Route My Money and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

This includes, but is not limited to, losses resulting from reliance on calculations or projections provided by the Service, unauthorized access to your account, or service outages.

In all cases, our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Service in a way that harms other users or our systems. We will provide notice where reasonably possible before taking such action.

Upon account deletion or termination, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in accordance with applicable US federal and state law. By using the Service, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States for the resolution of any such disputes.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

If you continue to use the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms, you are agreeing to the updated version. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Service and delete your account before the new Terms take effect.
